Mission

The Eagle Brothers organization is a subcommittee of the T. W. Josey Alumni Foundation of Augusta, GA. The mission/purpose of the Eagle Brothers is to positively support adolescent boys and young men in their transition from adolescence to manhood through the establishment of community programs, including, but not limited to mentoring programs, character education, academic support, sports, financial literacy, the arts and recreational programs.

 


Membership

Membership Criteria:


General Membership:

General membership shall be open to any male who supports the mission of the organization, is at least 18 years of age, pays monthly dues in the amount determined by The Eagle Brothers Executive Board. All members are required to jointly be members of the T.W. Josey Alumni Foundation.

Certified Membership:

Certified Membership eligibility is open to all General Members. All certified members are required to have a level three volunteer status with the Richmond County Board of Education, which includes mandated reporter training, live volunteer training, background check & fingerprinting (GCIC/NCIC), and principal approval. Level three volunteers are allowed to have direct unsupervised contact with minors associated with the organization.

Membership Rights:

Certified Members in good standing (dues paying members with level three volunteer status) have the right to participate in all public Eagles Brothers community functions and programs. Members in good standing may also be appointed as officers or leadership roles by The Executive Board.
